The new seed

Harvest of Success
Working hard, harvesting success,
with hard work and great toil,
with immense patience and lot of love
Rains have finally come,
Satiating the parched seeds that were sowed,
Little sprinkling have started to grow,
Turning the barren fields green with life.
I dont seek the fruits, all for myself,
It is for the lord that I toil here,
It is the lords field that I work upon,
Every success will be a flower that is kept at his feet.
Before the fragnance of the flower fades,
Another harvest of new flowers have to be ready,
Sharing the seeds that I sow, with others,
To increase the harvest for my lord.

Dream away
Dream away, shedding the pursuit of lucre,
Dream away, those beautiful eyes,
Dream away, the pursuit of the holy,

Divine Light
Like a light moving in the stream of darkness.
The mind goes numb,
In a thoughtless state of joy.
Words may fail,
But the heart is filled to the brim.
Just the sight of her,
Nothing more than that is what I crave.
Flowers bloom,
In varied colors during spring,
Her simple smile
Has shown me the path of the supreme.

Move on
Move on, you scrummy beggar,
The bleary eyed beggar goes on,
Seeking alms in the same passive tone.
Some give it to him grudgingly,
some give it to him with a sense of duty,
Some hate and spit at him,
Some despair at his fate and move on.
Work was something he couldn't get,
theft was something he couldn't do,
Still life demanded things he couldn't forget,
thus Seeking alms drowning in the river of shame.
Hunger often knocked at his doors,
Laughing madly at his shame,
Days were now just a motion,
Daily eating out a part of his own soul.
Finally his life was no more
A mere lifeless form,
rotting in the dark retches of the city,
Ah..A meaningful life of repentance.

On the Top, Over the Hill
we start off towards the far mountain peaks,
The cool breeze, the forest air and the silence,
coaxing us into a reverie unmatched.
Sometimes a river runs along for company,
humming its tune to the silent world around,
Sometimes it is just the dead leaves crunching,
creating illusions of danger from all directions.
Sometimes the rain drenches out the tempo,
bringing out the lecherous leeches for their share of fun,
Sometimes running out of our stock of water,
tempera-ting our wills to more human levels.
Sometimes the humidity saps us,
drinking and gurgling as if from a large open keg,
Sometimes it is just our minds,
that starts playing its own little games.
Finally the forest opens up to grassy planes,
bringing with it the relief of fresh air,
The sun now starts to shimmer and dazzle,
swooping down on our necks with tyrannical intent.
Every step is a barrier that needs to be overcome,
Every breath is a nectar to be relished upon,
The body is creaking and groaning with the passage,
Zombie like swaying and stumbling over the path.
The mind is all ready to give it up,
But the heart keeps us all going.
Taking in the natures beauty, and
applying it as a soothing balm to the frayed mind.
Finally the destination is reached,
The objective has been achieved,
It was not a competition of reaching here first,
It was a competition of beating our mental barriers in the company of others.

The Silent Horizon
Its golden rays touching and caressing everything in sight,
I wake up to the chirping of the birds and
walk down to the stream for a gentle scrub.
The craggy path winds down the mountain,
treacherous enough to keep others out of my way,
I douche myself in the silvery stream,
Loosing my thoughts to a silent dream.
I move back to my cave near the meadows,
Walking through the woods under the silent shadows,
I sit down under the shade in silent contemplation,
Mulling over my thoughts in deep rumination.
It has been days since I moved to my mountain abode,
Away from the noisy din that humans usually associate,
Nature has healed my scars inflicted by civilization,
Filling my heart with the pure nectar of the soul divination.
Man lives in a caged world, with his laws and pursuits,
Unable to break free and always in fearful apprehension,
The world of silence and peace is always on the horizon,
But nobody moves towards it lest it should turn turbulent.
I have taken this path towards the silent realm,
Finding peace and quiet in the starry beams,
Learning to loose myself in the path,
And gaining the whole world in the process.

Under the Moonlit Sky
came out the moon in the whispers of a knight,
The myriad darkness was swept asunder,
gleaming the earth with tones of soft silky silver.
A cool breeze blew from the horizon,
rustling along the leaves in playful oblivion,
The moonlit light twirled along with the breeze,
chilling the night with an embracing squeeze.
The silent silvery stream flowed on,
caressing the stones with its lovely silent song,
The late night air was rent with creaks,
with the lovelorn calls of creatures in the reefs.
There, near the flowing stream stood she,
as a serene silent goddess of the night,
Waiting under the moonlit sky,
shimmering with a radiance of alluring beauty,
I chose to hide behind the hedge,
enjoying the yearning in her lovely eyes,
The night was still very young,
with the sweet smell of her jasmine, wafting.
Her face was a twinge of pleasure and anger,
when at last I alighted unable to hold any longer,
Bliss was how it felt, clasping her in my arms,
the night now turned into a celebration of rapturous joy.

The path of destiny
On the path of terrible frights,
Is seen a rider dressed in black,
Moving on with a mighty steel on his back.
Ominous as the signs were,
Hate and deceit was the smell of the air,
Swift as wind did the horse flew,
To whence, no one knew.
At last a light shone,
In the dreamy horizon of a dusky tone,
Near the light stood a well,
Containing the elixir of eternal life.
The mans eye's beamed,
This was what he had always dreamed,
Many years had been spent on this quest,
But time was never able to reduce his thirst.
Years fly by, death remains defeated,
The man lives on, but is never satiated,
Death was a consequence which was avoided,
But life was a solution which never provided.
He now realized his quest was misplaced,
On paths which never were meant to be traced,
His life was well lived till now,
But the past was a burden which had a hold on him now.
He now realized what death meant,
It was the sleep needed to start afresh,
Finally death came since he so wished,
As friends they went, further on the path of destiny.

In Search of Paradise

i'm not finding it easy to swim,
Around me are the menacing waves
pulling and pushing with every whim.
which people dream and call paradise,
I decide to start my search
before it is late to even reminisce.
walking on the sands of forlorn beaches,
With the sun going down accompanied
with the joy, music of waves teaches.
I lie on the grassy meadows
looking into the starry lit sky
With a cool breeze blowing
whispering with trees as it passes by.
I walk down steep slopes
covered with flowers of different hues,
Drinking from the little brooks
and swimming in the bustling foam.
I tread when my mind desires
eat when the opportunity provides
The journey is bit long
but the heart never tires.
With each rising day the journey continues,
and with each passing step joy renews
I don't know still where is my paradise
But if the journey is such, Even paradise can wait.

A Haunted House

Flowers have withered, Fountains have run dry,
In a state where the whole house was a visual cry,
Nobody ventured near it, nobody tried,
Foolish was the word for one who enterprised.
Every day through my window I see the house,
Filled with the usual lot of eerie ghost grouse,
People say that the ghost there hates every living thing,
Ripping up all of them without remorsing.
Once I decided to check the ghost with curiosity but no desire,
The house looked bleak, as if ready to catch fire,
I entered through the broken back door,
Into a room whithered out by unkempt galore.
Dust, mud and broken glasses were the ghosts company,
I stepped on as if I was part of the whole melachony,
No one knows what dreams were built in this place,
No one knows between it's walls what despair was faced.
Far down the doorway I saw a broken mirror hung on the wall,
I went towards it, feeling for the place which has suffered such a fall,
Light was fast fading outside but still there was no sign of my host,
I peered through the mirror, to realise... it was I, who was the ghost.

Love
She is that grace who will live in me forever,
Her charm is so seductive,
I wish I see her, till death doesn't forgive.
The sky and the ocean pale in front of her,
The brightness of her beauty makes the earth move further,
Her wish is a command,
It is her love that I wish to demand.
A pale blue evening, with the stars above,
I knelt down and showed my heart to my love,
A mocking bird screeched behind,
Wishing the earth to meet the sky tonight.
She chose to forsake me however,
The heart that loved, bled for her forever,
Atlast death smiled, to grant me my last wish,
Took me, when her name was the last on my lips.

Passion
Passions are always ready to take a new turn,
Limitless are their ebbs and flows,
Countless are their mental blows.
Sweet as nectar they seem on a moonlit night,
Great are their despairs with no end at sight,
Come dance with me is their call,
Without fail, always we take the fall.
They come in various forms,
Anger, Lust, Greed, Pride which follow no norms,
Trust them to make a man empty from within,
Hiding from them is not a good position to be in.
Boundless are the ways in which they strike
Some perish, the rest just survive with a sigh,
Great is the man who tames then all,
Envy is my feeling for a person who can stand so tall.
